Ingredients

Scale

Buns and Cheese

  • 1 pack King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Slider Buns (9 count)
  • 8 slices Pepper Jack Cheese

Fillings

  • ⅓ cup Cooked Bacon (crumbled)
  • 2 cups Fried Chicken Tenders (roughly chopped)
  • ½ cup Honey Mustard (plus more for dipping)
  • ½ large Avocado (cubed)
  • ¼ cup Cherry Tomatoes (quartered)
  • 1 pinch Flaky Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Buns: Split the pretzel slider buns in half and place them on a baking sheet. Evenly distribute the Pepper Jack cheese slices over both halves, then sprinkle the crumbled cooked bacon on top.
  2. Broil the Buns: Place the baking sheet under the oven broiler for a few minutes until the cheese has melted and the buns are warmed through and turned golden brown. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
  3. Toss the Chicken: While the buns are broiling, toss the roughly chopped fried chicken tenders in half a cup of honey mustard sauce to thoroughly coat each piece.
  4. Assemble the Sliders: Once the buns are ready, layer the honey mustard-coated fried chicken pieces onto the bottom halves of the sliders. Then, add the cubed avocado and quartered cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle a pinch of flaky salt over the toppings for extra flavor.
  5. Serve: Close the sliders by placing the top halves of the buns over the fillings. Pull them apart gently to serve. Provide additional honey mustard sauce on the side for dipping to enhance the taste.

Notes

  • For best results, keep a close watch when broiling as pretzel buns can burn quickly.
  • You can substitute Pepper Jack cheese with sharp cheddar or your preferred melting cheese.
  • Use freshly cooked bacon for optimum flavor and texture.
  • If you prefer, the fried chicken tenders can be baked instead of fried for a lighter option.
  • Customize the amount of honey mustard to suit your taste preference, adding more or less as desired.
  • To make the sliders spicier, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the honey mustard chicken mix.
