A refreshing Starbucks-inspired Iced Double Berry Matcha drink combining vibrant matcha green tea with fresh strawberry puree and creamy raspberry foam for a perfect summer beverage.

Ingredients

Scale

Matcha Mixture

  • 3 tbsp hot water
  • 1 ½ tsp pure matcha powder
  • 1 cup milk of choice (2% milk used)

Cold Foam

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp raspberry syrup
  • 1 tbsp whole milk

Strawberry Puree

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cold water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Matcha: Add the 3 tablespoons of water to a microwave-safe jar or glass and heat until boiling (about 30-45 seconds in the microwave). Sift the matcha powder into the hot water to remove clumps, then whisk vigorously until the mixture is smooth and slightly foamy. Stir in 1 cup of milk and set the matcha milk aside.
  2. Make Cold Foam: In a small glass or jar, combine the heavy cream, raspberry syrup, and whole milk. Use a milk frother to froth the mixture for 20-30 seconds until light and foamy. Set aside.
  3. Blend Strawberry Puree: Place chopped strawberries, granulated sugar, and cold water into a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth to create a fresh strawberry puree. Pour this puree into a serving glass and fill the glass with ice.
  4. Assemble the Drink: Carefully pour the prepared matcha milk slowly over the strawberry puree to create a layered effect. Top the drink with the raspberry cold foam. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a fine sieve or matcha sifter to prevent clumps in your matcha powder.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of granulated sugar or raspberry syrup to taste.
  • Fresh strawberries work best but frozen can be used if fresh are unavailable.
  • For a vegan version, substitute milk and heavy cream with plant-based alternatives such as almond or oat milk and coconut cream.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the layered visual effect and fresh flavors.
