Milk Mixture
- 500 ml Full Fat Milk
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (400 grams)
- 3 tbsp Gelatin
- ¼ cup Water (for blooming gelatin)
Strawberry Jelly Layers
- 2 packets Instant Strawberry Jello
- 2 cups Water (divided as per instructions)
- 1 cup Strawberries (chopped finely)
- Bloom Gelatin: Take the gelatin in a saucepan, add ¼ cup water, and stir well. Let it bloom for 10 minutes, then gently heat the mixture until the gelatin fully dissolves and becomes liquid. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Creamy Milk Mixture: In another saucepan, combine full fat milk and sweetened condensed milk. Heat the mixture until hot but not boiling. Stir in the dissolved gelatin liquid thoroughly using a whisk to combine well.
- First Milk Layer: Pour half of the milk mixture into a glass dish or cake pan. Place it in the freezer for about 20 minutes until the layer is half set and firm enough to hold the next layer.
- Make Instant Strawberry Jello: Prepare one packet of instant strawberry jello according to the package instructions: dissolve the powder in 1 cup of hot water, mix thoroughly until completely smooth with no lumps. Allow it to cool at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Second Jelly Layer: Remove the half-set milk layer from the freezer. Gently pour the prepared strawberry jello over the milk layer. Return the dish to the freezer and chill for 10 to 15 minutes until the jelly layer is set.
- Third Milk Layer: Pour the remaining half of the milk mixture on top of the set strawberry jello layer. Freeze again for 20 to 30 minutes until this milk layer is firm.
- Top Jelly Layer with Strawberries: Prepare the second packet of instant strawberry jello the same way. Before it fully sets, add the finely chopped strawberries and mix well. Allow it to cool for 5 minutes, then pour this mixture over the third milk layer. Place the dessert in the refrigerator and let it set overnight.
- Serving: To serve, remove the jelly pudding from the fridge. Carefully unmold it on a serving plate, cut it into pieces, and enjoy this delightfully layered milk and strawberry jelly pudding.
Notes
- Ensure the gelatin mixture is not overheated as boiling could reduce its gelling ability.
- Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture in the top jelly layer.
- Allow sufficient chilling time between layers to achieve clean, distinct layers.
- You can substitute water in the strawberry jello preparation with fruit juice for enhanced flavor.
- For easy unmolding, dip the bottom of the dish briefly in warm water before inverting.
